Within 30 years, I feel lucky to have achieved many of my personal goals within my hairdressing career, these include Salon Management, Photographic work, Fashion shows, Bridal hair and Teaching Hairdressing up to NVQ Level 3.
I am now in the process of combining all of these skills into the teaching, directing and management side of the constantly growing, Hair Health and Beauty Business - Yume, a vision of a concept that makes people look and feel their best - all under one roof. I am, these days, often found deep behind the scenes. Working on the next big salon project, promotion, or training session. Keeping the growing team fully equipped with the up - to - date knowledge and guidance they need, to always go that extra mile, for our very important Yume clients.
I thrive on making a difference to the way people look and feel, and enjoy a lengthy consultation where I can advice the very best products to maintain healthy and beautiful looking hair.
With over 20 years as a fashion buyer / store manager of menswear and womenswear stores, I felt it was about time I put all that experience into an exciting challenge of my own... Creating Yume - Yume - The Rhydypenau Salon and Yume - The Cathays Salon, along side my wife Giovanna. I am the Financial Director of Yume Hair and Beauty but you can find me front of house on weekends, where I use my knowledge of superb customer care and management skills to drive Yume forward. Ensuring the Yume team are delivering high standards, within fun and professional surroundings, 5 star customer service and highly trained stylists are paramount to my ethos of a premium salon in a exclusive location with the right ambience in creating the dream you.

I am proud to say that I hold the title Master Colour Expert, and qualified to actually teach the hairdressing industry’s most prestigious course – The Master Colour Programme, at the Wella World London Studio. Being awarded this enviable accreditation, makes me one of the most sought after professional colour specialists. Master of other Colour Experts!
I am a passionate, experienced trainer and business development consultant professional, specialising in making individual salon businesses grow to their full potential. With extensive knowledge, experience and highest levels of technical colour expertise, personal hair colour consultations and creativity…… I am looking forward to offering all this and more to our wonderful guests at Yume!
As a stylist in this industry, my 30 years of experience has equipped me with a diverse range of knowledge and skills that I enjoy sharing day to day, with my team and with the clients. Creating a positive and nurturing experience within the salon, not only with the team and their personal development but importantly with the clientele is an essential focus for me. I take great pleasure seeing stylists and assistants happy with their work and clients walking out of our doors feeling amazing with a spring in the step!
I relish the chance to explore the new trends and techniques with clients, sharing anything new or inspiring. Tailoring my cutting, colour work and advice to suit my clients style, lifestyle, skin tone and seasonal needs is continually rewarding, whether its subtle or of a re-inventive nature.
Weddings are a big part of my work and creativity, being part of the planning and preparation of the bride and her party for the big day, is always highly rewarding. For me, styling a brides hair becomes art, a sculpture and an enjoyable challenge.
My Name is Georgina Helena Burch known as Georg - I am a fun loving young hair stylist with lots of passion and plenty of flair.
I have been working in the hairdressing industry for almost 12 years and have enjoyed every aspect of that time. I started my journey in the industry with an excellent training programme at Errol Willy Cardiff trained by Errol himself – here I learnt my trade and was always encouraged to improve and grow. After leaving Errol Willy I joined a small team of talented hair stylists at CF4 Hair Design and during this time I worked closely alongside artistic director Glen Fraser, again like Errol, he pushed me forward allowing me to find my own style. During this time I perfected my skills to a much higher level and became the all round competent hairdresser that I am today.
Now at Yume, I find myself surrounded by a positive, encouraging team of wonderful hair designers. I am most grateful to Giovanna and Jacqui (business directors) for their nurturing ways. They both have been very generous in sharing their many years of experiences and teaching me further tips taking my skills to the highest level in the hairdressing world. During this time I've enjoyed visiting the Wella training Studios, where I have taken on board the latest trends and techniques in hairdressing.
I am very happy to bring all my knowledge and skills to such an enthusiastic team of hair stylists at Yume Hair and Beauty. I look forward to an exciting time ahead!
I’m an Artistic Stylist here at yume. I’m a big personality with a crazy artistic mind to match. With 12 years salon experience, I have up to a level 3 NVQ in hairdressing. With extended courses and training opportunities within Yume I am fully equipped to handle anything. From Ombre, Creative toning, Sharp-cuts to Big-bouncy blow-dries, the possibilities are endless and I love a good challenge! A couple of years ago I represented Yume by entering Trend Vision - I successfully made it through to the regional semi-finals in the runway hair category in London, this was such a great achievement and experience for me.
I have also completed The Sebastian Mobster giving me full extensive knowledge on the product brand as well as up-to-date hair styling - I love being taken out of my comfort zone and seeing what I can do.
My clientele visit me mostly for my personality. I love to have fun and it shows in my hairdressing. I love to hear what the client wants to achieve and plan their future looks with them, ensuring they can get the absolute most out of me and their hair.
I am proud to say that I am a wedding and hair-up expert and over the many years of styling I have done a lot of occasion hair such as weddings, proms, fancy dress and even wig styling! Wedding hair being one of my favourite as I can really excel in my skill and craftsmanship.
I’m also very proud to say that I have recently completed The Wella Sexy Science course at the Wella Studios Manchester. This is something that really interested me, to go further into the science of our hair structure, hair products/ and hair colours that we use. Perfect for my thirst for knowledge of our amazing world of hair!
I have been at Yume since I was 15, I started as a Saturday girl and came in to help out as and when I could. From that experience I got to see what the hair dressing life was like and got inspired.
I finished school in June 2017 and started full time as an apprentice.
I’ve learnt so much over the last 2 years and being around the salon environment has helped me boost my confidence talking to people.
I’ve completed my level 1. I’m coming to the end of my level 2 and so qualified in certain cuts and colours so slowly building my clientele too!
I’m excited to start my level 3 and become and fully qualified stylist at Yume Hair and Beauty Salons soon.
I started working at Yume when I was 15 as a Saturday girl, after doing hairdressing as a GCSE! The more time spent at Yume Salons the more I felt comfortable and confident with the team and clients too! …My passion for hairdressing became bigger due to the exciting weekly training at Yume and the creative looks that I get to work on each day at the salon. I have finished Level 1 and am currently working on getting Level 2 complete. I cut certain styles and have made a good start on colouring hair too.
My aim is to keep developing my hairdressing skills further to become a Yume Stylist soon!
I have been an assistant at Yume Hair and Beauty for nearly two months. I’ve recently started my level 1 qualification in hairdressing and I am already learning everyday from the stylists here at Yume. I am constantly observing different techniques around the salon, giving me opportunity to develop new skills. I’m looking forward to qualifying at level 1 and beginning my level 2 qualification soon.
Working at Yume has increased my confidence as I am communicating with new people everyday.I absolutely love hair and have always wanted a career in hairdressing since a young age. The staff at Yume hair and beauty are extremely welcoming and friendly and have helped me settle in amazingly.
I am a creative stylist with over 20 years experience in hairdressing. After qualifying I worked as a junior stylist and then decided to travel and work in Europe to broaden my horizons.
After my travels I decided to retrain to specialise in cutting; starting at Vidal Sassoon and then at Toni & Guy where I then worked for the next 10 years. During this time I found my creative flare and I have now specialised in cutting for over 12 years.
Cutting and styling is where my passion truly lies and I love working organically to create new styles and shapes to suit individuals bone structure, personal style & lifestyle. I have had some of my work published for magazines and have also travelled to the Toni & Guy London academy numerous times for further training in advanced cutting techniques.
I take pride in keeping up to date with new trends and try to stay one step ahead creating my own interpretation of fashion and modern styles.
